🎓 Academic Requirements – Laurentian University, Canada
1. For Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Programmes:
Applicants from Nepal must have completed 12 years of schooling (NEB Grade 12 or equivalent) with official academic transcripts. Admission is based on country-specific academic equivalency and meeting program prerequisites such as senior-level English and any required subjects (e.g., math or science).
2. For Postgraduate (Master’s) Programmes:
Applicants must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree from Nepal or an international institution with an appropriate academic standing for their chosen program. Specific programs may also require supporting documents such as a statement of purpose, résumé, or reference letters based on faculty requirements.
3. English Language Requirement:
Since instruction is in English, applicants from Nepal must demonstrate proficiency. Accepted language tests and minimum scores include:
IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL iBT: 88 overall
PTE Academic: 60 overall
Duolingo English Test: 120 overall (with subscores ≥110)
CAEL: 70 overall (no part below 60)
Conditional offers may be given with completion of approved English preparation programs (e.g., Laurentian EAP Level 3 or ILAC EAP Level 16).
